The Short Menu shows the same menu options as the Quick Menu but as buttons rather than a list. This is designed to provide a simple-to-use page, allowing system users to easily access the areas they need and use most often. The Quick Menu, and thus the Short Menu, may be customized to set up the options users need most frequently, (using the Quick Menu Settings command in the Manager's Commands screen) providing easy access to regularly used Skyware Systems features such as reservations, check in, and reports.
The Short Menu may be designated as the landing page upon logging in for specific Users (by an authorized Manager in the User Maintenance screen, reached via the Configuration Menu) if desired. By default, the Dashboard View is used. (Other possible landing screen choices include: Full Menu, Staff Reader Board, Housekeeping, Point of Sale or Charts). These different starting options allow Users to arrive in Skyware in the most appropriate area for their needs.
Note: Even if not selected as the landing page, the Short Menu screen is available whenever using Skyware, and may be reached by clicking on the breadcrumb link in the top right corner of the screen banner at ANY time.
When opened, the Short Menu displays as a table of buttons representing the links to the most frequently used features of your Skyware system.
Click on the required button to open the desired screen or menu within Skyware.
Note: Due to the Short Menu showing the same options as the Quick Menu, this screen is one of the few screens within Skyware that does NOT display the Quick Menu on the left of the screen. It does however still contain the Action bar across the top and the breadcrumb links in the top right corner, for easy access to other areas within Skyware not necessarily represented in the Short Menu.
